The colour range of light greens are, in general, ‘easy on the eye’ & allow for a soothing encounter with this soft colour area… especially as they move towards blue - Those that are at the beginning of the green family are a bit warmer due to the influence of yellow & appear more ‘earthy’ - The colours that are at the center of the palette are more refreshing and restful… count on them to create a cool & relaxing atmosphere

This area of the green palette has incredible range of colour - Those that are more mossy, from the influence of yellow, provide a touch of warmth & are very livable - As they move towards blue and become cooler they are more relaxing & nurture contemplation - Generally the cooler greens, when contrasted with rose colours make for an interesting pairing of colours - Greens are healing and feel like unconditional love - Green ‘delights the eye without fatiguing it’ and is good for concentration - Care should be taken when using the most vivid of yellow greens [other than for accenting] as they can create feelings of nausea

These deepest of the green family convey a saturated depth of colour - Those that are brighter have the essence of spring & are a bit more energetic as they are touched with yellow - As they move towards blue a freshness evolves… along with a sense of balance, harmony & renewal - With the grace & beauty of emeralds, these greens make us feel safe & secure - Perhaps because greens are abundant in the deep woods & forests we feel protected where we find this colour of refuge - As greens become more muted they feel woodsy & comfortable. These colours make lovely accents
